Unchained is a duo exhibition by Alva Dahl (No Spaghetti) and Elinore Nova Liorna. We met in a child welfare institution, and this exhibition grew out of experiences of isolation, control, and the strange transition into full freedom after turning 18.
The exhibition brings together both individual works and collaborations: paintings, mannequins, and sculptural pieces alongside large drawings, digital art, and animations shown on a vintage 1980s television. Together, the works explore the feeling of being both confined and completely unbound at the same time.
Unchained is about reclaiming ownership of one’s own story-and about finding form in what once felt out of control.
